Ray Bradbury’s “The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit” at the Pasadena Playhouse, as well as industrials with Nike, LA Gear and Apple Computer.
As director and choreographer:
“Grease," “Oliver," “The Wizard Of Oz," and “West-Side Side Story."
“The King and I," “Oklahoma," “Li’l Abner," “Brigadoon," "Smokey Joe's Cafe" and "Kiss Me Kate" with the Covina Valley Playhouse, and “Fiddler On The Roof." In the late 80s I also produced, directed and choreographed “Hot Legs” on Broadway at the famous Latin Quarter in NYC.
For the past twenty-three years, I have also been employed as a staff choreographer for Carlton Burnett Productions, a staging company for Rodeo Drive Fashion Shows and numerous corporate fundraisers throughout Southern California. Through their training at Dancemaker, my students not only get a well-rounded education in the performing arts (dance, voice and acting) they also have the opportunity to perform at major events. Annual events include The Miss Covina Scholarship Pageant, of which I am the resident choreographer for the past fifteen years; The Young Musicians Association (fundraiser), Children’s Hospital of California (fundraiser), City of Hope (fundraiser), The United Hostess Charity, The Long Beach Grand Prix, and, at the Orange County Performing Arts Center, “The Center of Fashion” which raises money for cultural events throughout Southern California.
During their participation in these events, the students have the opportunity to work with some of the finest professional talent in the entertainment industry...the list includes Cyd Charisse, Florence Henderson, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Cybil Sheppard, Ben Stiller, Cindy Crawford, Barbara Eden and Ann Margaret.
As Owner and Artistic Director of Dancemaker, with the collaboration of my wife, Bernadette Meehan, an experienced performer and teacher in her own right, I have built over the past twenty years a continuously growing and thriving, family oriented, community friendly cultural environment where many young people have the opportunity of realizing their dreams in a positive, productive, and healthy atmosphere.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Geoffrey Cascio, and I am the owner and Artistic.
Director for the past twenty years of Dancemaker, the performing Arts Studio located in Covina.
As a performer and director, I have had the honor over the years of working with a good many
well-known people in the entertainment industry, including Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra, Lucille
Ball, Shirley MacLaine, Gene Kelly, Tommy Tune, Jose Feliciano and Steven Spielberg. I’ve
performed on Broadway, in films and television, and have toured the world. The following brief
history will provide you with a small sample of my career credits.

Bernadette Meehan began her dance training in New York City. Her stage credits include: Radio City Music Hall’s “Disney’s Summer Spectacular”, “Sugar Babies” with Jerry Stiller,Carol Lawrence, and Rip Taylor, and “ Ceasar”s Palace Boardwalk Electric Light and Music Show”.!
In L.A., she worked in television and film appearing in “Who’s the Boss?” (ABC), “The
62nd Academy Awards” (ABC), “Bugsy” with Warren Beatty and Annette Benning, “Barton
Fink” with John Tuturro and John Goodman, “She’s Out Of Control” with Tony Danza, and
“The Guiding Light” (CBS).!
She has appeared in several national commercials including “Pepsi”, “McDonalds”, “Twix”, and “Pringles”..Music Video’s with “The Bee Gees” and “Peter Cetera” .. as well as toured nationally and internationally with “Nike”, “Puma”, and “L.A. Gear.”
